Your own private retreat
We offer a broad selection of activities, as listed below. We are, however, delighted to tailor our activities to suit the specific interests of our guests (ornithological tours, nature trails, lake exploration etc).
Bush walks, safari dining and sundowners
There are several possibilities which can be combined with a sundowner, picnic or meal in the bush. They include our “out of Africa walk” in the open plains, our “volcanoes walk” in and around the extinct volcanoes and our “Lake walk” along the shores of Lake Elementeita and near the hot springs.
Climbing and walking
The Conservancy’s extinct volcanoes offer impressive vistas of the Great Rift Valley from the Mau Escarpment to the Aberdares and overlooking Lake Elementeita and Lake Nakuru.
Day and Night Game Drives
Game drives can also be tailored to our guests’ wildlife interests. The plains and acacia and euphorbia forests are home to many species of mammals including the endangered Rothschild giraffe and a wide variety of antelopes. The elusive leopard, bush pigs and aardvarks can also be spotted at night.
Excursions to Lake Nakuru National Park
We can arrange a day trip to the Park which is well-known for its flamingoes and water birds. The trip is only 40 minutes across range land to the Nderit Gate and you can readily view four of the big five: buffalo, rhinoceros including white rhinos, lions and leopards.
Go Ballooning Kenya is based on the Soysambu Conservancy and organizes ballooning expeditions with views of both lakes.

A ticket to glide… on Lake Elementeita
